Jutulhogget
Jutulhogget
is a 2.4 km. long canyon in Alvdal and Rendalen communities in
Hedmark, and is one of North-Europe’s largest canyons.
The formation came into existence after the last Ice Age,
when dammed water broke out under the ice and developed a new
way eastwards through the loose mass of stones., causing
upheaval between Rendalsjutulen and Alvdalsjutulen.
